Dental braces are wire-based appliances that are used by orthodontists to correct crowded and misaligned teeth or jaws. The main goal for braces is to produce an even bite and a pleasant smile by aligning the teeth properly.

There are different types of orthodontic braces, namely:

Metal/traditional braces:

These are metal brackets are smaller and less noticeable.

Ceramic braces:

These braces are the same size and shape as the metal braces, but they have the same colour as the teeth, or they are clear braces which blend into the teeth. Some of the braces have the same teeth colour wires so that they are less noticeable.

Invisalign braces:

These consists of series 18 to 30 mouth guard-lie clear plastic aligners that are custom-made. These aligners are removable and are replaced every two weeks.
